Roger B. Burt is a clinical psychologist who earned his Ph.D. at Duke University. In his studies he was intrigued by the mythological and cultural underpinnings of humankind. Carl Jung taught the wonder of myth from across the world. Leslie White, the father of culturology, introduced him to the “extrasomatic stream” or culture and its import in our lives. The work of these two men relate strongly to the struggles of humankind.
He feels we stand on the cusp of what we call reality and tremble on the edge of transformation or failure as a species.
And in the Gaia’s Majesty Trilogy he has placed women center stage because he believes the empowerment of women is crucial to the outcome of the social and environmental crises humankind is facing.
